Over the last few years we have keep records of expenditure for our land management activities in order to report on the Biodiversity Fund project. Reporting is on a cash basis, and includes servicing and consumables for major equipment like the tractor, mower and brushcutter, but not depreciation. Other ongoing costs include flags, glyphosate spray, tools, sturdy clothing and boots for outdoor work.
In the period 2012-2015 the main items of equipment purchased are:
- Leica DM500 compound microscope
- Leica S6 stereo microscope on a swing arm stand
- Orchid pins and tags for monitoring
Apart from the microscopes and orchid pins, we have spent between $1500 and $2000 each year on our land management, surveying and monitoring activities.
